We love Game Board Books and are so glad that they came out with this new title! Game Board Books are the size of an ordinary book - about 9" X 12", and about an inch thick. Each one contains 3 sturdy laminated game boards with a game on each side for a total of 6 games. The boards fit neatly into a pocket inside the book cover, while a durable pouch with a velcro flap holds all of the game pieces, spinners, etc. The beauty of this is that you can store 6 board games in just a small amount of bookshelf space.

These games are suitable for preschoolers through about first grade or so. They are simple enough that fairly young children can play on their own with each other once they learn the game. Having a child of about 7 or older join in the play will keep things moving. Youngsters with short attention spans will enjoy having six different games to pull out and play one after another.

The games in this set are:

Animal Adventures: Move through the zoo matching upper and lowercase letters.

Fishing Frenzy: Catch fish by matching numerals to fish with domino-style dots on their backs.

Time to Rhyme: Move around town finding pictures that rhyme.

Barnyard Chorus: Travel around the farm practicing animal names and sounds. This is more fun than you can imagine and my little ones want to play this over and over.

Outer Space: Zoom through space looking for colors and shapes. This is more complicated (in a good way) than most color and shape games and involves looking at multiple attributes.

Season Snapshot: Race to "take pictures" of seasonal scenes and match them with the correct season.
