You will love, love, love this game!! There are so many nifty things included that it is hard to know where to start describing it.
I suppose the most obvious place to start is the with the game itself. There are 56 cards featuring breathtakingly beautiful illustrations. There are several cards each in a wide variety of categories - members of the expedition, plants, animals, fish, etc. that the expedition encountered, categories of Native American tribes, and much more. The point of the game is to collect all of the cards in any category.
The game also includes a lovely 18" X 24" poster-style map of the journey of Lewis and Clark. All of the items on the cards are listed by category at the bottom of the map. The cards themselves are numbered, and each number is marked on the map in the spot where the item was first encountered. Therefore, another variation of the game involves collecting a specified number of cards in chronological order.
As if all this weren't enough, the game also includes two sheets of stickers. The sticker art is taken from the images on the cards. They are a bonus and are not needed for the game, so they can be used to embellish any sort of project.
