My children have all loved this toy! It consists of five train-shaped crepe rubber pieces (an engine and four cars) that can be linked together in any order, and will even stand up. Each train piece contains a removable numeral (1 -5) allowing the toy to be a number puzzle, and allowing you to challenge your child to connect the train pieces in numerical order. Each train piece is also hole-punched with the number of holes that corresponds with its numeral, and your child can place the enclosed 18 Tall-Stacker pegs into the train pieces. This is a very tactilely satisfying activity for children and reinforces the number concepts on the train.

Of course, your child will also want to “just play” with this toy by moving the train around on the floor or table, seeing how high she can stack the pegs, using the pegs to make train tracks, etc. An excellent choice for children ages 2 and up (although many 18 month-olds will also enjoy it) that remains fun through at least age 5 or 6.
