No, this is not a book to help teach your children about circles and octagons. It is actually a wonderful creative writing resource for all elementary grades. This reproducible book contains everything you need to make 50 great themed books.
 Each book of the 50 book patterns contains:
a detailed shaped cover - a knight, a robot, a crocodile, a flowerpot, various animals, etc.
a back cover with illustrations and a poem.
a list of books about the topic depicted on the cover
a number of story starters and creative writing suggestions
3 different kinds of writing pages cut in the same shape as the cover. One is completely blank for very young children or for illustrations; one is half lined with a blank top for pictures, and the last kind is all lined.
These books are sooo much fun to make. My children love to select a cover, color it, and use the various reproducible inside pages to make a wonderful book. You can use these for creative writing, reports, self contained mini-notebooks, lapbooks, and more. The unlined pages are ideal for photos and other art. You could easily copy pages at 50% reduction to make little mini-books. If your child really loves one of the 50 themes, you could make a book with several pages and use it for copywork, spelling words, or any type of writing. This book is a wonderful value and very practical!
